The Immaculate Conception School library provides the students with many opportunities for age-appropriate learning and growth. Children in kindergarten through second grade are exposed to varieties of literature, non-fiction books, web-based stories and information during story time. Extension activities reinforce the material, and beginning library/media skills are introduced.
The third and fourth grades continue learning library/media skills along with continuing to enjoy literature. Fifth grade students focus on web-based and 21st-century research skills. The sixth, seventh and eighth grade classes employ a book talk format during class using historical or classic literature. The eighth grade also works on its yearbook production during class.
Computer stations are available for use. The library is open during recess for middle school students to complete homework and class assignments.
