General Academic Excellence Awards – The students wearing the gold
honor cord will be acknowledged. Each student will be awarded a $50 gift.
This award is given to students who have achieved Honor Roll of

Presidential Awards- The Presidential Education Awards are sponsored
by the U.S. Department of Education in partnership with the National
Association of Elementary School Principals. This year the Presidential
Awards are being sponsored by the Immaculate Conception, Home School
Association and ICYO. Please stand as your name is read.
The President’s Award for Educational Excellence honors students for
outstanding academic achievement. Recipients are awarded a pin, a
certificate and a $25.00 gift card. The 2022 recipients of this award are

The President’s Award for Educational Achievement recognizes
students that show outstanding educational growth, improvement,
commitment and intellectual development in their academic subjects.

Announcement of Academic Scholarships:
There are two graduates who have achieved special academic recognition;
Kaitlyn Buffalino Carson Scholarship- sponsored by Dr. Ben Carson
and his wife Candy
Only one student from each school is able to apply, ensuring that each
nominee epitomized academic excellence. Carson Scholars must have a
minimum GP of 3.75 and display humanitarian qualities through community
service. Scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of academic
achievement and humanitarian qualities, without regard to financial need,
ethnicity, creed or religion. The Carson Scholars Fund awards $1,000
college scholarships to students who excel academically and are dedicated
to serving their communities. Scholarship winners receive the honor of
being named “Carson Scholars” and are awarded an Olympic-sized medal
and a trophy for their school to celebrate their accomplishments.
Early College Academy
Created in conjunction with Brookdale Community College, the Early
College Academy at SJVHS provides the opportunity for select students to
earn an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences or Associate of Science in
Computer Science from Brookdale Community College while earning their
high school diploma. This curriculum plan allows the student to earn
appropriate credits for a high school diploma, meet the needs of four-year
colleges, and earn an Associate of Arts in Social Science or Associate of
Science in Computer Science degree from Brookdale Community College.
Kaitlyn will receive an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences degree.
Amala James has been accepted into the Academy for Allied Health and
Biomedical Sciences
The Middlesex County Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences
is part of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School District.
Students are accepted after completing a highly competitive application
and admissions process. In 8th grade, students must submit their middle
school grades, their application and take the Academy admissions test.
After completing an interview, the top 74 students in Middlesex County are
offered acceptance. Students take an all honors schedule throughout their
four years.
