The Immaculate Conception School library provides the students with numerous opportunities for age-appropriate learning and growth. Children in kindergarten through second grade are exposed to various forms of literature, non-fiction books, web-based stories and information during story time. Extension activities reinforce the material, and beginning library/media skills are introduced.
The third and fourth grades continue learning library/media skills along with enjoying an ongoing chapter book with related activities.
Fifth grade students mainly focus on web-based and 21st-century research skills.
The sixth, seventh and eighth grade classes employ a book club format during class using historical or classic literature. The eighth grade also works on its yearbook production during class.
