We start our day with Math. We are learning strategies for adding and subtracting and how to use tools like Senumber lines to help us.
Our Reading program, Wonders, is fun because we are reading stories about friendship and families. We are learning about similarities and differences with people around the world. We are also reviewing our short vowel sounds with games at the Smart Board. We'll learn about base/root words.
Everyone really enjoys learning about Jesus, The Church, and The Sacraments, in Religion, as we realize we are all part of God's family. It's a very exciting and busy year with preparations for two Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion.
We begin our lessons in Science Fusion by discovering what a Scientist does and how he/she keeps records and makes important predi ctions and observations. This is followed by Matter, Force, Animals, Fossils, The Earth, Weather, and the Solar System.
In Social Studies we're going to begin with U.S. Symbols. We'll find out what they mean, where they are and how to identify them. We have covered Government, Economics, and are moving onto Maps, Traditions, Diversity, and some U.S. History.
