Immaculate Conception’s technology curriculum follows the New Jersey Common Core Content for Technology. . An overview of the curriculum covers applications, terminology, basic office and digital tools, simple programming, data entry, research, multimedia, ethics, internet safety and Google Apps for Education.
There are three major benchmarks that the students should achieve: the first should be accomplished by the end of grade two, the second benchmark by the end of grade four, and the third by the completion of grade eight. It is the goal of the program to make sure the students are proficient in these benchmark areas and that they learn to become better critical thinkers, problem solvers, and good decision makers, and that they learn to communicate well both individually and collaboratively by the time they graduate from our school.
An updated computer lab, netbooks, iPads, Smartboards, and Chromebooks help provide the students with the tools they need to expand their knowledge of not only their academics but also of the global world around them.
